America has many national parks and state forests, and each one of them is unique. Some you may visit because it is a known haven for wildlife, and others because of their unusual geological formations or ancient forests. Each park is different, and America is fortunate that their forefathers recognized the importance of setting aside these special places for future generations to enjoy.
Many of the national parks have historic landmark buildings offering accommodation. These are ideally situated to offer a totally unique experience during your stay. Camping is available in most of the national parks, but sleeping in a swag makes me a little nervous about becoming a tasty little burrito for a bear.
