Million Dollar Highway

This is an all-time favourite that ticks all the boxes for a great ride.

The twists and turns along this magnificent stretch of highway certainly will keep you on your toes as it leads you up through the Uncompahgre Gorge, winding its way over the top of the 11,018-foot (3,358 m) Red Mountain Pass, and down past Ohio and McMillan Peaks. This spectacular stretch of US 550 runs for 25 miles (40 km) between Silverton and Ouray, Colorado.
