BEARTOOTH PASS
Beartooth Pass is a 68-mile (110 km) stretch of US 212 leading from Red Lodge, Montana, across into Wyoming, then back into Montana as you approach Cook City and the north-east gateway of Yellowstone National Park. This notorious pass is 10,947 feet (3,337 m) high and is one of the most rugged areas of the Northern Rockies, with many peaks reaching over 12,000 feet (3,657 m).
